Booking and Costs

Self storage is a private, lockable unit you rent for as long as you need, to keep whatever won’t fit at home or in the business. You bring your things in, lock the unit with your own padlock, and come and go as you please with 24-hour access once you’re registered. Only you hold the key. At Self Storage Kinsale our units range from 2.8 m² (30 sq ft) up to a twenty-foot container size (about 14 m² or 150 sq ft), and the minimum stay is one month.

The monthly cost depends on the size of the required storage unit. If you require assistance please contact a member of staff to ensure the optimum storage size for your requirements.

We have a simple price structure based on each unit size with no hidden extras. Prices start at €110.00 per month (ex VAT)

You can store for as long as you want, there is no maximum period. Minimum stay is one month.

You’ll sign a contract and pay the first month in advance by card. Bring your own padlock, or buy one at reception.

Yes we accept credit and debit cards for payment. Fees are payable monthly and in advance. We do not accept cash payments.
Moving in & Moving Abroad

Yes. There is no maximum period and the minimum stay is one month, so it works whether you need space between homes or for longer while you settle in or live abroad. You can change unit size later, and we can point you to removal services for moves in Ireland, locally, or to and from abroad.

Call us and we’ll point you to removal services that can help, whether it’s a large or small move within Ireland, locally in Cork, or moving to or returning from abroad. We accept deliveries, so your things can come straight to us, and we have trolleys to make unloading easy. Once you’re registered you have 24-hour access, so you can move in when it suits you.

Packing boxes and tape can be purchased at reception to make life easy for you. You decide what needs to be boxed.
Access & Security

Once you are registered you will have 24 hour access to the self-storage facility.

Yes, you need your own padlock to ensure that you are the sole key holder for your Self Storage unit and to ensure that your unit is securely locked at all times. Padlocks can be purchased at reception.

Yes, The self-storage facility is monitored with CCTV cameras, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

No, pets are not allowed into the self-storage facility.
What You Can Store

You can store almost everything with a few exceptions:
Food and perishable goods
Any living creatures such as fish or birds
Flammable or combustible materials including petrol, diesel, paints, cleaning solvents and explosives
Chemical, radioactive or biological agents
Any items which emits smells or odours
Toxic waste, asbestos and any other dangerous materials
Compressed gas
Illegal items

Yes, you can store furniture in the storage units. The amount and dimensions of the furniture will determine the size of the self-storage unit required.

Yes, you can store electrical equipment. If the item contains batteries please ensure you remove them beforehand.

Unfortunately, the self-storage units are not equipped to store vehicles or larger boats as they may contain traces of petrol and/or diesel. Smaller dinghies without engines can be stored.
